As a freelance designer with more than 10 years experience specializing in web design, illustration and multimedia/Flash production I have applied my expertise in Photoshop, Flash, DreamWeaver, HTML, and CSS to deliver visually engaging products with an emphasis on effective user-experience.

As an educator with more than 20 years experience in technology and art, I have taught individuals ranging in age from 4 to 18, as well as provided technology training to adults in my roles as Trainer, Instructional Designer and Technology Specialist.

I have a knack for breaking down complex problems into essential building blocks, and I have repeatedly demonstrated my ability to take a project from conception to deliverable within a tight time frame. In my roles as designer, educator, and trainer, I have proven that I am creative, resourceful and can deliver in demanding environments.

NYC DOE : DIITInteractive Media Specialist & Instructional Designer • Brooklyn, NY • 6/2010 to present
Responsible for the design and development of a series of online training modules for the DOE's scheduling and grade book software. The project involves the creation of approximately 100 multimedia training modules. My responsibilities consist of all instructional design and production aspects of the project, including coordination of SME's and resources, interviewing, script writing, narration, voiceover recording and editing, visual asset gathering and manipulation, assembly of software test scenarios, and graphic design and multimedia production. Software used: Flash, SoundBooth, Photoshop, SnagIt, and Captivate.

Created and implemented a multimedia curriculum, with primary focus on Adobe Flash and Photoshop. Included basic instruction in design and tools, as well as "real world" projects using the framework of the design industry. Developed a class website as a teaching tool for students, providing lesson objectives, grading criteria, project examples, computerbased training. Designed and developed several websites and blogging platforms for the school community.

Designed and maintained the Educational Technology department's website. Developed and administered a curriculum repository for teachers using content management system software (Drupal). Designed and implemented an exciting multimedia curriculum that provided a "real world" approach to working with Macromedia Flash.
